Sara McFarlane is an Academy Award® nominated producer and experienced production and business affairs executive who is passionate about bringing important stories to the screen. Sara brings years of experience and a unique set of skills in executive producing, film financing, and production.

Sara started her career at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and See-Saw Films before moving to Fulcrum Media Finance, a specialist film financing company, where she worked on high-level financing transactions for film and television productions, including Academy Award nominated, Lion, Top of the Lake: China Girl, Mary Magdalene, Sweet Country and The Nightingale.  During her time at Fulcrum, she was nominated for NSW Young Woman of the Year and she also served as the VP of Women in Film & Television (NSW).

After moving to New York in 2018, Sara joined CinePointe Advisors where she worked with producers on many notable feature films including Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, The Half of It (Netflix), I’m Thinking of Ending Things (Netflix), On The Rocks (Apple), and Palmer (Apple).

Since founding E/S Collab., Sara’s credits include Peter Hedges’ The Same Storm, Florian Zeller’s The Son, Michael Shannon’s directorial debut feature, Eric LaRue which premiered at Tribeca, and Todd Haynes’s May December which premiered in competition at Cannes Film Festival and Sing J. Lee’s debut feature film, The Accidental Getaway Driver, which premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2023 in competition.
